Light exposure is directly related to human mental health. Studies have shown that insufficient sunlight intensity causes, for example, seasonal affective disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. On the other hand, light therapy has proven to be an effective treatment for these and other disorders (e.g. postpartum depression or insomnia).
Cognitive lighting in buildings boosted cognitive performance and student achievement
A study on students in Prague grammar schools proved the effectiveness of Spectrasol’s procognitive lighting. There was an improvement in academic performance in mathematics, a reduction in late arrivals and an overall improvement in cognitive performance.
