Anyone who has ever spent a full day in a classroom knows how much of a difference good lighting can make. Eyes are less strained, children concentrate better, and the overall atmosphere is more pleasant. At Černošice Primary School, they experienced this firsthand — and they are thrilled with the results.
The old fluorescent lights were replaced with Spectrasol pro-cognitive LED lighting, whose properties closely resemble natural daylight. The new lighting helps both students and teachers concentrate better, reduces fatigue, and contributes to an overall sense of well-being in the classrooms. At the same time, it provides long-term support for mental and physical health as well as eyesight.
The school joined a pilot project in cooperation with the Czech Technical University’s University Centre for Energy-Efficient Buildings and the town of Černošice.

The school plans to extend the new lighting to additional classrooms and staff rooms. With this step, the school and municipal leadership aim to offer children and teachers an environment where they can not only learn better, but also feel good.
