Problem description or challenge
Elementary School Černošice had long been using classic fluorescent lighting, which was reaching the end of its lifespan and far from meeting the requirements for a healthy and pleasant environment for all-day learning. The light was unnatural, tiring for the eyes, and often failed to meet the needs of pupils or teachers. The school was looking for a solution that would provide higher quality lighting conditions, support concentration, and improve overall comfort in the classrooms.

Solution
The school participated in a pilot project in cooperation with UCEEB CTU and the city of Černošice. Old fluorescent lamps were replaced with Spectrasol full-spectrum procognitive LED lighting, which closely mimics natural daylight with its spectrum. The installation was quick, without complications, and allowed for an immediate comparison with standard LED lighting.

The school plans to expand the new lighting to other classrooms and staff rooms.
