As part of an extensive reconstruction of classrooms, implement lighting that:
- meets current standards and hygiene regulations
- enhances focus and vitality of students and teachers
- also respects the historic character of the object, a protected monument built in 1931 based on Jan Kotěra’s design
Description of the Solution / Technology or Methods Used to Achieve Goals:
In 2024, the Faculty of Law announced its decision to carry out a comprehensive reconstruction of interiors, including lighting. The winner of the public contract for part of the project involving lighting for the reconstructed classrooms was the construction company Mozaik, which subsequently invited Spectrasol to collaborate on the lighting supply. The actual implementation of the first phase took place in the summer of 2024, when the auditorium and classrooms began reconstruction.
For lighting, indirect linear luminaires Spectrasol SunLine45 were chosen, which needed customization. The luminaires had to be integrated into atypical ceilings of the historic building and specially designed acoustic elements. A special tilting system was therefore designed and manufactured for the luminaires.
Achieved Results:
The result is essentially “invisible” lighting fixtures that, thanks to optimal indirect light distribution and reflection from acoustic elements covered with special foil, spread pleasant full-spectrum light in a way that brilliantly mimics the sky overhead.
