Description of the problem or challenge:
Lighting for all offices and part of the common areas of the new Legatica Nová Waltrovka office complex on 6 floors, 8000 m².
The general contractor, Veolia, opted for Spectrasol full-spectrum procognitive lighting.
The aim was to create lighting…
- …that will provide the same quality of lighting in all rooms, as close to natural sunlight as possible;
- …that will be energy efficient;
- …that will adapt to the different structural, spatial and aesthetic conditions in different areas of the building;
- …that will maximise the workers’ eyesight;
- …that will contribute to increased concentration and alertness, reduce fatigue and error rates of workers, and above all
- …that will contribute significantly to their mental and physical health and vitality.
Description of the solution:
- Veolia Spectrasol Sunline45 linear pendant luminaires with indirect light distribution through light bounced off the ceiling, SunRound circular direct luminaires and SunlineDirect linear direct and indirect luminaires
- Smart lighting control with Smart solution’s unique control system. The system, connected to all other utilities in the building (heating, ventilation, shading, etc.), allows for adaptation to outdoor conditions and personalised scene settings using the users’ smart cards for each space. It also optimises energy consumption.

- A score of spontaneously positive if not enthusiastic testimonials from the building occupants, no negative or critical reactions
