The annual light design competition held in Switzerland recognizes exceptional works from all corners of the world. We are all the more proud that we succeeded in the strong category of lamps with our biodynamic LED floor lamp Sunflow.
We entered the renowned global competition with our new biodynamic circadian LED floor lamp Sunflow. And it paid off! It won in the category âTable lamps, Floor lampsâ, which is a great honor for our entire team.
What makes the lamp so special?
It brings a unique lighting system to our homes using three patented technologies. The modes are in harmony with the 24-hour natural cycle, which positively affects, and above all does not disrupt, our circadian system.
The day mode, provided by the integrated LED module, mimics natural sunlight and is patented for its unique balanced and procognitive properties. In the evening, the lamp âwarmsâ with warm light, resembling sunset, which calms the body. The night mode is suitable during sleep preparation. The lamp is easy to control with the push of a button. The desired parameters can then be set by the user in the application. Our team also thought about sustainability, and therefore Sunflow is produced in the EU from recyclable materials such as aluminum and steel. As for the design, we made sure to perfectly complement any contemporary interior with a modern combination of colors (or even a special wooden edition).
The annual light design competition recognizes exceptional works from all corners of the world. They are judged by an international jury of 51 renowned academics, professionals, journalists, entrepreneurs, and influential personalities from the lighting industry.
The development and methodology of the application of this device were created in cooperation with CTU UCEEB and NIMH in a project financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic under the TREND Program.
All the greater thanks go to the entire wonderful team of lighting technicians, chronobiologists, psychiatrists, designers, and electricians who participated in the development.
