Zlín Region launched a pilot project to improve lighting conditions in schools and support the health and performance of students. Pro-cognitive lighting, which mimics natural daylight, was installed at Gymnázium Uherské Hradiště and the Higher Vocational School of Pedagogy and Social Work, and the Secondary School of Pedagogy in Kroměříž.
At the gymnasium, teachers noticed the change immediately. “The new lighting creates a more pleasant environment, and after a lesson I feel less tired. I have to admit that studying in a room lit like this is very effective, and I am satisfied with the results,” says teacher Michal Zerzáň. The fixtures provide even and biologically balanced lighting, supporting concentration and mental vitality.
In Kroměříž, the technology became part of modernized computer classrooms, one of which is referred to as the “classroom of dreams.”
The project thus demonstrates that quality lighting is already a key standard element for supporting the health, vitality, and well-being of students and teachers.
