The research conducted by the National Institute of Mental Health of the Czech Republic and the University Center for Energy-Efficient Buildings at CTU examined the effectiveness of installing biodynamic LED lighting in a senior care facility that regulates light properties for day, evening, and night. The results confirmed significant positive impacts on the health and quality of life of both clients and staff. A notable improvement in melatonin production amplitude, due to biologically optimized lighting, led to enhanced daytime activity and better sleep quality at night. The research findings also confirm that biodynamic lighting contributes to the proper synchronization of circadian rhythms, resulting in improved cognitive functions, alleviation of aging symptoms, and overall well-being of the elderly.
